1½ cups almond flour

¼ tsp baking soda

1½ Tbsp grass-fed unsalted butter, melted

¼ tsp salt

1 organic egg

¼ tsp vanilla extract

1 Tbsp erythritol, powdered

Pecan pie filling:

3 eggs, beaten

1 cup erythritol

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 Tbsp grass-fed unsalted butter, melted

1 cup sugar-free maple syrup

1½ cups of pecan halves

Directions:

Pie crust instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F /177 degrees C.

  2. In food processor, combine all ingredients until ball of pie dough forms.

  3. Place dough into pie pan and use hands to press evenly along bottom and sides.

  4. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Set aside.

Pecan pie filling Instructions:

  1. In large bowl, combine eggs, erythritol, vanilla extract, butter, and maple syrup.

  2. Add pecans and stir to coat them evenly with pie filling mixture.

  3. Pour filling into pre-baked pie crust.

  4. Bake at 350 degrees F / 177 degrees C for 45 minutes or until set and golden brown on top.

Recipe tips:

  • Use a hand mixer to blend the ingredients for a smoother pie filling.

  • To achieve a crispier crust, bake it for an additional five minutes before adding the keto pecan pie filling.

  • You can replace almond flour with coconut flour, but adjust the amount since coconut flour absorbs more liquid.

  • Make a batch of pecan pies by doubling the recipe and using mini pie tins for individual servings.

Keto Pecan Pie Recipe

Indulge in the rich and decadent flavors of this Keto Pecan Pie, featuring a crisp base and an irresistible gooey filling.

This low-carb dessert boasts a flaky almond flour pie crust filled with pecans and unsweetened maple syrup, delivering all the nutty flavors you desire without the added sugars.

Why you’ll love this keto-friendly recipe

Your search for the best Keto Pecan Pie recipe ends here! This delectable, keto-friendly confection satisfies any sweet tooth without kicking you out of ketosis.

Unlike traditional pecan pie, which is typically made with corn syrup or brown sugar, this recipe uses erythritol as a natural sugar substitute.

Erythritol, a low-glycemic sweetener, is an ideal choice for those following a low-carb diet or individuals with pre-diabetes or diabetes, as it doesn't contribute significantly to blood glucose or insulin spikes.

Not only is this recipe sugar-free, but it’s also packed with nutritious ingredients, including pecans, a true superfood rich in beneficial fats, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals.

Research published in Nutrients revealed that a high intake of tree nuts, such as pecans, is associated with a reduced risk of cardiovascular disease and lower mortality from type 2 diabetes.

Another crucial ingredient in this recipe is grass-fed butter, which offers omega-3 fatty acids and conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), known for its anti-inflammatory properties.

"Choosing grass-fed butter ensures you receive higher nutrient levels, including vitamins A and K2, while also benefiting from healthier fats than conventional butter," explains Dr. Berg.

One more reason to adore this recipe is that every ingredient complements each other perfectly. The richness of the baked crust pairs beautifully with the delightful texture of the pecans, creating a harmonious bite with every mouthful.

Whether hosting a gathering or enjoying a cozy night, this pie will surely be a hit.

Storing and reheating tips

Having leftovers is a delightful bonus when it comes to this low-carb Pecan Pie.

If you can resist eating the entire dessert in one sitting, store any remaining portions in the fridge, covered with plastic wrap or foil, where they’ll remain fresh for up to three days.

When ready to eat, reheat individual slices in the toaster oven for 3 to 5 minutes or in the oven at 350 degrees F (177 degrees C) for 5 to 10 minutes.

It's best to avoid the microwave, as it may cause the crust to become soggy.
