5 Critical Ketosis Tips

Ketosis: What Is It?

Ketosis. Is it healthy or deadly?

Ketosis is a state of burning fat. When you’re in ketosis, you're in a state where you're making ketones.

Ketones is an alternative fuel for the body that is not sugar or glucose. Running on ketones is like running a car on electricity rather than on diesel fuel.

It's a cleaner fuel source—an alternative fuel source that gives a person way more energy than glucose.

Even professional athletes can by far outrun, outperform any other athlete on ketosis than through carb loading.

What's the premise of ketosis?

It’s lowering your Fat Storing Hormone, your sugars and refined carbohydrates, way down there—close to zero—to 5% of your daily calories or lower.

What is Fat Storing Hormone? Fat Storing Hormone is the hormone that regulates blood sugar. Normally, in your blood, you only store two little teaspoons of sugar. That’s all you store. That’s all you have in your blood.

See, our bodies are NOT designed to consume the amount of sweets and sugar we consume. The average person eats 145 pounds of sugar a year—which is INSANE.

Anything more than two teaspoons of sugar is actually TOXIC to the body. So, the average person is consuming so much carbohydrate. So the body jacks up Fat Storing Hormone in an effort to get it out of the blood fast and stick it into the liver. Then, we get a fatty liver.

People with fatty liver diseases, high cholesterol, high blood fats—that's not the fat in the diet. That's the SUGAR in the diet. Our bodies make a lot of cholesterol naturally. In fact, our bodies make 2 000 mgs of cholesterol a day. We need fat.

It's not that that's causing our health problems. It's the sugar.

the benefits of ketosis

If sugar causes so many bad things, why not just cut out the sugar and decrease risk of all these conditions?

There are still studies out there that contradicts this—but they're using corn oil fats—not healthy fats. So the study results are skewed. We're talking about eating HEALTHY fats—butter from grass-fed animals, nitrate-free, sugar-free bacon, avocado...

Look at the study closely if it tries to suggest fat is bad, okay?

The Healthy Fats

Grass-fed animal products, such as grass-fed beef. But don’t choose the lean beef or the turkey bacon or the chicken without the skin. We need those healthy fats.

Even combining sugar with protein—chicken with barbeque sauce, for example, it really spikes Fat Storing Hormone.

Do not eat eggs without the yolks. We need that fat to be able to get into ketosis. I know the concern is that “I don’t want to clog my arteries.” But this is brainwashing. After you try this diet for two weeks, go, get your cholesterol tested. And you will be a believer.

Your bad cholesterol will go down and your heart will be clean.

Long term for health, running your body on sugar, you won't last.

Now—if you don't get that sugar out of there AND you're consuming all this fat, your bad cholesterol will go up and you won't get all the fat-burning benefits of this program.

You'll be hearing a lot more about this from athletes and researchers because the benefits are real.

There are a couple of things to know.

If you've been running your body on sugar for a long time, it will take time to adapt your body to a new fuel source. In that transition, you might have to take it gradually.

You'll be dropping a lot of water weight and may have to consume more sodium. Then you'll feel better.

I suggest you push through it to really reap the benefits of using ketones as your fuel source.
